On Wednesday, April 3, the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force captured Ted Lee Livingston, the Horry County Police Department announced. Livingston has been wanted in the state of Connecticut for 29 years on an escape charge dating back to April 1990.
According to police, to evade capture, Livingston changed his birthday and ID information on his South Carolina driver’s license. Livingston was arrested on Pint Circle in Longs, police said, and taken to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center. Livingston was served a fugitive of justice warrant is now awaiting extradition back to Connecticut to face his charges.
Lee’s Connecticut Department of Corrections information states that he was charged with selling a controlled substance.
On the Horry County Police Facebook page, Rea Marie Livingston, who identified herself as Ted Lee Livingston’s wife. posted “Ok world please don't judge my husband, yes he's been incarcerated for 7 years and came home. Got and has a job pay taxes and also has been back to prison to see family members we have lived in the same area for 30 years so how has he been hiding...”
